I always enjoy your writing. When reading this I felt transported back to a carefree time, at least carefree for young person in a small town. The Brooks House chicken was always great...can almost still taste it. There was a great deal of turmoil going on in the world at the time, but we were weren't exposed to a constant barrage of bad news. Thanks for sharing!
