It's the end of summer, so a brief history of Brooklyn's most famous destination
I wonder what became of the Carnarsie people. Did they move on, or assimilate? I supposed no one paid them for use of their land.
The Canarsee were part of the Lenape people. Their land was "purchased" and they got pushed out further and further away from Long Island. Today, there are Lenape people in Canada, Oklahoma and other states.
